Jacob Spears immigrates from Scotland to America eventually settling his family in Bourbon County deep in the Kentucky frontier.  They endure hardships, Indian attacks and ruthless competition as he forges the first Bourbon Whisky empire with his 2 sons Noah and Abraham.
