Young Callan MacGregor sees his family murdered in front of him.  He is taken in and raised by his uncle Willie, who is tied to the Glasgow underworld.  Callan is groomed to take over the family Whisky empire, while patiently waiting to exact revenge on those responsible for his family being slaughtered.
